Linen in the city
Crisp enough for the office, relaxed enough for the weekend — if you choose the weave carefully.

Linen has a reputation for rumple and wrinkle that keeps it out of many city wardrobes. The wrong weave confirms the prejudice; the right one makes linen the most sensible summer uniform.
Look for a tighter weave in shirts and trousers meant for work — garment-washed linen softens without collapsing. Save the loose, open weaves for holidays where crease is part of the charm.
